Two-thousand and twelve is already turning out to be a big year at
the Center for Morality in Public Life! Two projects in particular we want to share with you:

First, in response to the recent HHS decision to mandate
contraceptive coverage by morally opposed groups--including the Catholic Church--CFMPL has launched Protect Conscience (http://cts.vresp.com/c/?Cen... a digital resource for timely, insightful commentary on the importance of conscience protection and religious liberty. The HHS mandate is an affront to freedom, and strikes at the very heart of
our American way of life. We believe that it must be understood and overturned. And we're working hard to make that happen.

Second, Spring 2012 marks the launch of our Christian Values & Public Morality symposium at Ethika Politika (http://cts.vresp.com/c/?Cen.... Already exploding in popularity, the symposium brings together scholars and authors from around the world to discuss the role that Christian values play in forming upright, moral citizens. You know as well as I do, that there's never been a more important time to have these discussions. CFMPL is committed not only to hearing them, but
to fostering them and bringing them full force into the public
square.
